Dr. Shelby Hill and Next Leader Up, partnered with Divi Dojo to redesign their website and course site to reflect the NLU vision driving clientele to register and take Dr. Hill’s online courses.

The Challenge

Our client has an established coaching business, but wanted to expand into providing online courses for existing and new clients. The challenge here was not just creating the look and feel of the courses themselves, but what will be the content and how will we make that flow within the course environment.

We chose to work with the third party course provider Teachable, and it has been amazing from the start.

Teachable is a powerful platform that enables creators to design and deliver engaging online courses for clients seamlessly. With its user-friendly interface, course builders can easily upload multimedia content, create quizzes, and manage student progress. Teachable’s marketing tools help promote courses effectively, while its integrated payment processing streamlines transactions. Additionally, the platform supports various learning formats, allowing instructors to customize the learning experience to meet diverse client needs. Overall, Teachable empowers educators to share their expertise and build successful online learning communities.

Design & Development

We started this project with several meetings discussing what Dr. Shelby’s goals were with the site itself. Since we’re building the site with Divi and integrating it with Teachable, we needed to establish a look and feel that can seamlessly work between both sites. This is important so the visiting clients know they are still within the environment of Next Leader Up the whole time.

The courses on Teachable needed to be established, so this took a little extra time, but once the curriculum was set, it was very easy to set them in place within the Teachable platform.

Creating a course within the Teachable platform is a straightforward process that begins with setting up your account and navigating to the course builder. First, you can choose to create a new course and define its title and description. Once that’s done, the platform allows you to organize content into modules and lectures, where you can upload videos, PDFs, quizzes, and other multimedia elements. Teachable offers customizable templates to enhance your course’s visual appeal and engage learners. You can also set pricing options, integrate payment gateways, and utilize marketing tools to promote your course. After finalizing your content and settings, you can launch your course to start attracting students and delivering valuable learning experiences.
